Riverside Presbyterian Church
Worship

We hold worship twice on Sundays.  At 8:45 AM is our Contemporary Worship Service in Riverside Chapel and at 11:00 AM is our Traditional Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

On the first Sunday of the month we have Communion during both services. Other special services throughout the year include Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunrise.

The worship service is structured according to the Presbyterian Book of Order and is planned by the pastor, Worship Commission and Music Director, working together.  The Traditional Worship Service includes the traditional elements of Presbyterian worship: Gathering to praise God; Confessing our sins; Hearing the Word of God; Responding with thanksgiving, and Going forth to serve God in the world.

In the pew, you will find Bibles and two kinds of hymnals.  There is also a Fellowship Pad where those sitting in the pew record their name.  This is a great way to get to know who is sitting next to you.  Other things you will find in the pew include an envelope for tithing and envelopes for special offerings, and blue cards for submitting prayer requests.
