August 4, 2013. The culture we live in trains us to be acquisitive to secure our lives through possessions. Jesus introduces us to a more realistic culture where we cannot secure our lives with and through ‘stuff’. Instead, Jesus promises that in our service to him, we will prosper as we trust our care to God.
